Last updated: 13 June 2026

This is an English translation, provided so you can read it. VIDHA operates under Spanish law, and in the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version is the legally binding one.

This explains what data is collected when you interact with VIDHA, what it's used for, and what rights you have over it. It complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). It's written to be read, not to hide behind.

Data controller

VIDHA is a personal project by Miguel Díaz Zamacona, psychologist, who acts as the controller of the data collected through this site. Contact for data protection purposes: vidha@vidha.eu.

What data is collected, and why

If you write via the contact form: your name, your email and the content of your message. They're used for one thing only: to read you and reply. Legal basis: your consent when submitting the form.

If you subscribe to the letters or to a course by email: your email address, the date you signed up, the page you subscribed from, the status of your subscription (pending, confirmed or unsubscribed) and, if you're doing a course, which lesson you're on. Sign-up works by double confirmation: until you click the link that reaches you, nothing else is sent. Legal basis: your consent, evidenced by that confirmation.

If you only read: this site's visit measurement is a system of its own that runs on the server. It doesn't store your IP address or your browser: it records the page viewed, the referring domain, the type of device, and an irreversible code that rotates every day — useful for counting readers, useless for identifying you or following you across days. It uses no cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing, anonymously and in aggregate, what gets read.

No clinical data is collected. This site provides no medical or therapeutic services, and I'd ask you not to include health information in the forms.

What is never done with your data

It isn't sold. It isn't shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It isn't used for advertising. It isn't cross-referenced with other databases. There are no third-party trackers on this site. Your email exists so I can send you what I write — and for nothing else.

Who else is involved

For the site and the email to work, web hosting and email delivery providers are used. They act as data processors: they handle data only on instruction and with the safeguards the GDPR requires. No processor may use your data for its own purposes.

How long it's kept

Contact messages: as long as needed to reply to you, and a reasonable period afterwards in case the conversation continues. Subscription data: while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, only the minimum record of that is kept, so that you're never written to again by mistake.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time by writing to vidha@vidha.eu. For the letters there's also a shorter path: every email that leaves here carries a one-click unsubscribe link at the foot — no questions, no exit survey.

If you believe something hasn't been handled properly, you have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Minors

This site isn't directed at children under fourteen and doesn't knowingly collect their data. If I find a sign-up from a minor, it's deleted.

Changes to this policy

If the way data is handled changes, this page will change first, with the date visible at the top. The underlying commitments — no selling, no commercial sharing, no tracking — aren't negotiable: they're part of this site's manifesto.
